Frequently Asked Questions
-
- Can I receive funding and cash?
-
- Whether you receive funding or not is based on whether you have a lawsuit filed. Facts such as whether you are represented by an attorney, settled a lawsuit, or are awaiting payment all are taken into account when formulating our decisions. We can not offer our services to anyone who is under the age of 18 or is handling their lawsuit "pro se" meaning, without an attorney.
-
- Is this funding like a basic loan?
-
- No! This is even better than a basic loan. With a basic loan, you must repay the amount plus interest no matter what. With our funding, you only pay us back if you win or settle the lawsuit!! This means that NOTHING gets paid back to us if you do not win or do not settle the lawsuit. We don't loan you anything, we help fund your lawsuit.
-
- Are there any fees I must pay up front?
-
- Nope! There are no monthly payments or fees owed with our findings. Any fees or interest associated with your funding is paid back only if you win or settle the lawsuit.
-
- How long does it take to receive funding?
-
- With some attorneys, we can fund you in as fast as ONE HOUR. Typically, however, it could take within 24 to 48 hours after receiving your completed application.
-
- How does my funding get repaid?
-
- If we fund your case, Regal Funding will enter into an agreement with you and your attorney. When you win or settle your lawsuit, repayment of the advance will be due when you receive your settlement or award. If you lose your lawsuit, you owe Regal Funding nothing.
-
- How much funding can I receive?
-
- We will advance a minimum of $500 and a maximum of $100,000 of litigation funding. We ask that you only ask for how much you need only.
-
- Will Regal Funding check my credit history?
-
- Regal Funding will never review your credit history. Our specialist simply evaluate your case to determine its estimated value. If we believe that your lawsuit will likely secure a settlement or jury award, we typically approve funding.
-
- My Attorney is not recommending I use a funding service, why?
-
- There are a few reasons an Attorney is unwilling to recommend a funding service. First off, your attorney is typically financially stable, and does not fully understand the financial difficulties and hardships faced by personal-injury victims and other plaintiffs. They also may never have worked with Regal Funding before. Most funding companies are burdensome, but we come from a legal background, and will guarantee this process will be as smooth as possible for your attorney.
Further, your attorney might be concerned about the following:
1) Funding services affect on attorneys fees:
Your attorney may be new to the funding industry and not understand that our funding agreements are always secondary to attorneys fees. This means that we are paid on a contingency basis. You repay Regal Funding only if you receive a settlement or award. You owe us nothing if you lose your case. Attorneys' fees are settled and paid before Regal Funding receives any portion of any settlement or award. Further, since we have a background in Personal Injury, we will work with your attorney should our funding get in the way of an amicable disposition to your case.
2) Potential influence on the attorney's handling of your case
Regal Funding will never interfere with your case. We never consult with your attorney, ask them to settle, or impact your case in any way at all.
3) The administrative work involved
Regal Funding is the most lenient funding company, with the best rates in the industry. We assure your attorney that we will likely need only a minute of their time on the phone and that is all. Other companies require faxing entire Complaints and folders. We don't require this typically and thus have a minimal impact on your attorneys time and energy.

- How do I apply with Regal Funding for funding my case?
-
- Easy. Call us! 1-888-Law-Pay-Today. Or Apply online. It is that simple. We can have you approved in under an hour and have our cash in your hands in a few hours thereafter. We offer pre-paid debit cards, Western Union, bank transfer, or a good ol' check - whatever is easiest for you.
-
- What if you funded my lawsuit, but it is not enough and I need more?
-
- You are always reminded that you can come back and ask for further funding, but we typically won't fund a case above 10% of our estimated value of the case. You can also ask us about a Rolling Contract. For example, with a rolling contract, we can approve an advance of, say, $6,000 and give you $500 a month for up to twelve months, rather than in a lump sum of $6,000. This benefits you most as if your case settles within the twelve months, you only owe interest on the amount you actually received, rather than the full amount you were approved for. Rolling contracts also enforce financial discipline and ultimately cost less.
